THE HALF MOON IS PROVIDING A TAKEAWAY SERVICE DURING THE CORONAVIRUS SITUATION  (Posted 24 March 2020) 

The Half Moon public house will be offering a takeaway food service on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 6pm -8pm and on Sundays from 12-3pm during the current Coronavirus situation. Please call in advance to order on 01787 277402. Payment can be made over the phone or in cash and local delivery can be provided subject to demand. Prices reflect a 25-30% reduction on normal 'eat in' menu prices and are as follows:
Fish & chips £8, Scampi & chips £8, Burger & chips £9 , Veggie burger & chips £8, Steak and kidney pudding with mash, veg & gravy £9 , 
Beef, red wine and bacon pie with mash, veg & gravy £9. 
Sunday only: Roast forerib of beef £10,  Nut roast £9.  Both with all the trimmings
Beer also available at £1.50/ pint - bring a suitable container.

ALL PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS CANCELLED    (Posted 23 March 2020)

Following Government guidance to protect everyone's safety during the current Coronavirus situation, the Parish Council have agreed to cancel all their meetings until further notice. Anyone wishing to contact the PC can still do so via the Clerk on 01787 279288 or at belchamps.pc@gmail.com .

BSP CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA CLOSED    (Posted 23 March 2020) 

Following Government guidance to ensure everyone’s safety during the current Coronavirus situation, the Playing Field Management Committee have closed the children's play area until further notice.We’re sure that you will understand the necessity to take this step to prevent transmission of the virus and we thank you for your co-operation. 

ROAD CLOSURES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF FIBRE NETWORK BY COUNTY BROADBAND  (Posted 21 February 2020)

County Broadband are shortly commencing their works to install fibre broadband to the villages of Belchamp St Paul and Belchamp Otten. These works will involve several road closures which have been notified as follows:

 11 March for 15 days - Vicarage Road and Church Street, Belchamp St Paul 

 26 March for 16 days -  Otten Road, Belchamp Otten 

Please note that full up to date information on all these closures can be found on the ECC website. The dates given above were correct when posted but they can be subject to variation at short notice as a result of weather conditions and operational issues.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING DATES 2020  (Posted 10 December 2019)

The Parish Council meeting dates for 2020 are as follows: 21 January, 3 March, 21 April, 19 May (Annual PC meeting), 7 July, 1 September, 20 October and 24 November. All meetings are open to the public, commence at 7.30pm, and are held in the Community House, Gages Road, Belchamp St Paul.

The Annual Parish Assemblies will be held on Monday 18 May at 7.30pm (Belchamp Otten) and Tuesday 19 April at 7.30pm (Belchamp St Paul). Please note that the Belchamp Otten Annual Assembly will be held at The Red Lion, Fowes Lane, Belchamp Otten.
